For gosh sakes - she likes that mare and wants to breed her.
I have 2 lovely fillies by a nice former NY stallion now in Pa. who is covering (a few) Tb race mares and (more) Tb and Wb sport mares.
He is the 'leading sire by starts!!' in NY but really not that successful a race sire.
Yes ... that said ... lightning could strike, but the way I look at it -- I want Tb horses, regardless. If they run, great. If they 'chase, great. But either way, after whatever track career (if there even is one) they will be exceptional athletes.
This stallion, Stanislavsky, is regularly producing big, good looking, sound, easy, senisible solid sorts. I'd go back to him in an instant.
Inexpensive to get to, near you (google him), good motility, and a gentle breeding stallion who won't scare or hurt your mare.
Go for it.
Forget the pedigree- go with type. You like the mare? Find a nice solid stallion and make yourself a nice baby. You're not part of the problem if you're breeding purposefully.

I have sold several of 'stan's" get and can vouch for how absolutely amazing they are..superior minds, like to work, sound, pretty and athletic as h*ll...plus his owner's daughter rode one of the all time leading show hunters in the nation and I am pretty sure they will be showing some "Stan" babies pretty soon...

This is email dated Feb. 3, 2013 is from the new owner of Swinger (Stanislavsky-Caught Cheatin)
Great to hear from you! Swinger is doing great. He had an issue with his frog, but he is well over that now. Bryan (my hubby) has him started over fences which he seems to love. So happy to here that his sire is doing well standing in PA. Please feel free to use us as a referrel for any one who wants to know how wonderful & talented his sire's offspring are, or who would like to come see Swinger as proof. I will keep you posted as to when his 1st steeplechase will be. We are just taking our time and letting him grow up physically and mentally.
ps- he LOVES peanut butter crackers, I have to fight him off when he sees I have a pack on me :) He is so sweet, he calls to me everytime he sees me and is very fond of his massages. He likes to pin me in the stall when I attempt to leave so that I may continue on rubbing him down. Such a sweety and a beauty. A very special horse

Stanley is such a super little horse, I can't even begin to tell you. Katie Adams (his rider) has just returned with a handful of ribbons from Stanley's first rated horse show. She brought back some video that I will post hopefully later today on our website and facebook page. First time in the big coliseum at the Virginia Horse Center and he just clocked around like an old pro. Katie had the best time with him!
Thank you again for creating this amazing horse! I realize now I don't know anything about his race record but I can tell you for sure - he is great jumper, with lots of natural talent, and a willing and brave disposition. He just continues to impress us. And he's sweet to boot!
Thanks again
Patricia
Stanley is a fantastic jumper and has a lovely demeanor. Stan is not only a lovely mover and great jumper but super brave and his been eventing this summer and fall with great success! .

Impish Grin (Stanislavsky-Douce Expression)
I have ridden Imp about 5 or 6 times now. He is so quiet it's scary! I keep waiting for him to "wake up". Yesterday they had chainsaws out next to the ring and he didn't care at all. I did take pictures of him but they were not the greatest.
I will forward you a couple separately as I am not the most technically advanced.
Please send me the info on your horses and I will pass it on! If they are anything like imp's temperament. They will be wonderful.

Official Ruling (Stanislavsky-Daysman)
Here is a picture of Official Ruling, the horse by Stanislavsky that went to my friend Pam
about 30 days ago. Yesterday he went to his first horse show. Here is a picture of his first course, first fence. They say he has a great disposition, and loves what he is doing. Looks
as if he is going to have a good life.

My goodness! Gata Be Lucky by Stanislavsky out of Gata Be Patient! He’s amazing.
I’ll make a nice ad from one of those pix plus one of my foal winning her conformation class last summer and make up a little email to shoot to all my contacts. He’s just lovely.

(from Facebook) (This is about Wheeler Dealer (aka Murphy) by Stanislavsky-Money Flies)
I can't believe what a cool horse Murphy is, stood untied in the middle of the barn and thoroughly enjoyed a good brush, had his mane pulled so its all kinda the same length, went out in the paddock turned him loose, was expecting some kind of antics.....nothing! All he did was follow me round like a big puppy dog while I picked up the muck out the paddock, came back in like a total gent, walked calm as can be past Ava who was neighing her head off back to his stall and promptly had a good roll, I think I may have the calmest TB stallion in history

Carostan - by Stanislavsky-Carota Frolic - by Stanislavsky-Socialite
HOW NICE TO HEAR FROM YOU. I HOPE YOU GOT MY LAST PICTURES AND VIDEO OF CAROSTAN. BOTH HE AND FROLIC ARE DOING GREAT.
FROLIC (FRENCH LEAVE) IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. VERY STUNNING AND ELEGANT, A RATED MOVER. AND BEST OF ALL SHE HAS A LOVELY
PERSONALITY. WE ARE SHOWING HER ON LINE THIS WEEKEND AT THE LOCAL MIDDLEBROOK SHOW. I TOOK SOME PHOTOS YESTERDAY
AND A VIDEO. I WILL SEND BOTH SHORTLY.
QUAKER (CAROSTAN) IS A BIRD! HE IS ALWAYS IN TO SOMETHING. HE REALLY LOOKS GREAT AND IS DOING SO WELL IN TRAINING. I CAN TAKE HIM
CROSS COUNTRY WITH A GROUP OF HORSES AND HE BEHAVES PERFECTLY. HE IS JUST LEARNING TO JUMP. WE ARE TREATING HIM FOR LYMES
DISEASE AND THE MEDS ARE MAKING HIM FEEL VERY ENERGETIC! I HAVE HAD HIM OSTEOPATHICALLY ADJUSTED AND THAT MADE A BIG DIFFERENCE TOO.
I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THESE TWO HORSES. THEY ARE EXCEPTIONAL. SOCIALITE IS DOWN THE ROAD AT THE CONNEMARA FARM.
SHE HAS NOT GOTTEN IN FOAL IN TWO YEARS, BUT THEY ARE STILL TRYING. HER CONNEMARA FILLY WHO IS TWO NOW, WAS EXPORTED TO GERMANY
AND IS WITH A TOP RIDER.
LET ME GET SOME PHOTOS OFF TO YOU NOW BEFORE I FORGET.
REGARDS,
BROOKS
